About the Role
Develop and implement innovative agronomic strategies to improve the productivity and sustainability of smallholders palm oil plantations.
Mentor and guide junior agronomists, providing them with necessary support and training.
Oversee soil, plant, and water analysis to make informed decisions regarding crop management.
Conduct research on plant diseases, pests, and effective control methods.
Conduct periodic training and refresher course for the smallholders
Develop and maintain relationships with local and international research institutes and organizations to stay updated on the latest developments in the field.
Coordinate with local smallholders to ensure the proper implementation of agronomic practices and monitor the progress of the plantations.
Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for plantation management.
Analyze and report on the performance of the plantations, making recommendations for improvement.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and certifications.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Responsible to promote and achieve the GMV target from selling plantion services (agronomy visit, fertilizer recommendation), KebunPRO, Organic Fertilizer SawitPRO, and Drone Mapping to customer.
Simultaneously work with other team to increase the North Star of SawitPRO (Incremental FFB, GMV, and Smallholders Acquisition).
Kualifikasi
Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field; a Master's degree or higher is preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in agronomy or crop management, with at least 4 years in the palm oil industry.
Proven experience in developing and implementing agronomic strategies to improve productivity and sustainability.
Strong knowledge of palm oil plantation management, including best practices, pests, diseases, and their control methods.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior team members.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in the use of relevant software, such as GIS and statistical analysis tools.
Willingness to travel to plantation sites and attend industry events as needed.
Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and certifications in the palm oil industry.
Placement will be in Sulawesi areas.
